Which is cleaner burning in pistol cartridges? How about accuracy in Colt .45, shot from a Ruger Blackhawk?
I am looking for cleaner, more complete burning, accurate loads than I have been getting from 4227 and 5744. Thanks!

Have been using 200gr FTX's and have 225gr FTX's to try. Prior to that I was using 250gr XTP's.
The loads for H110 on Hodgdon's site scare me. I don't care to go much over 1200fps, even with the 200gr bullets.
I should note that the 200gr FTX's are about 1/32" too long from cannelure to end of tip when loading for the .45 Ruger without trimming cases under-length. The cylinder still rotates, but one can feel the tips hitting the end of the barrel chamber each time the hammer is cocked back.

I used some H110 in my RBH stainless and when I was done it was black. Dirtiest stuff I ever used. I even had to use a scew driver to push some cases out. The N110 on the other hand was the cleanest powder I have used.( 17grs.-300gr.XTP) I have loaded the 225FTX in my BH and found that if I seat it to the top of the cannelure it won't hit.
