Has anyone seen these lately for a one inch tube?? All of my usual sources are out of stock. There is only one I see that MAY have them in stock, but if memory serves correctly, they don't let ya know if they are out of stock until an email arrives notifying of the order. Have some of us done too good a job of selling these great rings for Burris?

Been trying to find them also with no luck for nearly a month. There is a used pair of silver mediums over on the other board for $25.

The high one's are real scarce right now. I tried all my sources and came up empty. Some say they have them in stock, but they don't. I'd watch eBay there is one pair of matte 1" high's on there now.

I had a customer look all over for 1" mediums last November and he called Burris up and their excuse was "supplier problems" and said availability would be back to normal after the first of the year.

I've had 30mm med Sig Zees on order since July! They've been telling me the same as Rossman-should be this month. I hope they are the same quality as before. I'm afraid somehow they have outsourced manufacture to.......who knows where.

Thanks!

I favently hope thay are not being out sourced for manufacture as they are my all time fave ring. Been trying to order two sets in nickle finish with no luck. They sit on six of my seven scoped rifles.

Manufactures have to pay some sort of tax on inventory so they do their best to have all their wares out to distributors or dealers by the end of the year. This means that the rings were most likely all sold out back in August or September. So what this means is that after the shot show...the manufactures will gather all their initial orders for the 2012 season together and either make or place a order for their anticipated sales for the entire season. Then manufacturing begins and stock rolls out. I suspect that is what is happening in this case.

Hopefully, that's all it is.......we just did our inventory for the company's fiscal year ending in January. We run ourselves short also, but certainly not clear out of product!
I did get a set last year as well as the year prior, and in January at that. Have never seen them out of the Signature rings this long.

I needed a set for a recent scope and they had one set on hand at my local gunshop. I got lucky it appears.

As I used to be told "you do not understand big business". What a lot of companies do is go to a capital company and borrow the money to produce their inventory. Look at Savage for an example, they basiclly make 1000 CF rifles per workday. They do not sell 1000 rifles per day, the majority is probly sold in the 4th quarter of the year. So they can go to a capital company like GE and borrow the money to cover the cost of say 125,000 rifles. The rifles are made and put into the warehouse and Savage pays interest on the inventory till sold (could even be calculated on a daily basis). They could even extend the plan out to dealers/distributors (a retail floor plan it is sometimes called). To cut cost (interest) they do not borrow the money and/or reduce inventory. I remember after the heavy snows back in 77-78 and 78-79 Toro (and everybody else) sold out of every snowblower they had each year so they came up with this plan to build a ton of them. Then it didn't snow and Toro was peddling those snow blowers for like 8 years. Floor plans are a common practice with car dealerships, recreational vehicles, boats, outdoor power equipment and even major appliances. What got a lot of businesses in trouble is they would take their cash and play the market and get a 15% return, then borrow the money to build their inventory and pay 8% but be able to write that off as a business expense. Then the market crashed and they lost not only money but that was the assets which allowed them to borrow money easily. GE Capital is a $551B (yes B as in Billion) company and a third of their loans are over $100M.
