Last year I had one drop both antlers on the Savage death run.....and then I saw a decent buck in March.
Not sure what the trigger is to make them drop

I had many more on the property we hunt dropping early LAST year than I have seen this year so far. That pic was taken 12/29.
I will know for sure what has happened this week when I go down Friday to pull cards and get ready for Saturday morning.

Sunday morning 8:45 90 yds, 195 BX, 62 N-120. I do have the shot on video. I wanted a Tar12 bang flop. Still NO bang flop on these Ohio deer. 40 yd run and drop Strange entry hole on this deer, the hole on the outside looked normal but the inside of the chest wall had a 2-3" hole with two broken ribs. The exit on the other side was small maybe 1/2". The bullet hit tree on the other side of the deer but I couldn't find it.

Not sure what the trigger is to make them drop In your case, probably a 325 FTX plowing into them at high velocity

That's a great boiler room shot on a great deer. You've gotta give them the Tar12 high shoulder to consistently drop em where they stand.

Agreed, shot a big "doe" at what I thought 150 yards Sat. (Central Ohio). When went to pick it up it turned out to be a buck with shed antlers. No wonder it looked like button buck for a second. It also walked on three legs and needed dispatched. I'd shoot even if I knew it was a buck. They don't survive like that. Must be a warm winter that affects early shedding. I hear a lot of this goin on.
