after alot of searching I flat out can't find the proper size power rod for my new savage, they simply are not available, TC I guess bought out the rights to it and only care if their guns come with one, there is a universal one however it is hollow and seems very flimsy, so I bought a 24" TC power rod in hopes of cutting it down and rethreading it to make it work, since the swivel end will not go through the barrel holder it has to go into the barrel jag side first. what are you guys that are using power rods using for a bullet seater?? any tips on cutting the threads straight??

I picked up a TC RUGGED ROD 32 in. long. I put a spinjag on the end dropped it down the barrel, marked it a cut it off. I got the idea from cedar.

I bought a power rod in 22 inch. I put it in the thimble without the jag and put the jag in for loading and then take it off. Only takes a couple of seconds. The rod is a whole lot better than the supplied rod from Savage.

I used a aluminum rod out of my Rem 700ml with a 21" barrel. It fits the savage good. With the spin jag installed it is almost an exact length, 1/4 in longer than factory ramrod.
