Just wondering how many guys on here have a Pac-Nor barrel or one on order ? This has probably been asked in the past but there's bound to be a bunch of new Pac-Nor owners by now. List how many Pac-Nors you own, caliber, barrel length, fluted or non, finish, and type of action it's mounted on. If you have one on order, list it too ! Thought I'd ask for the fun of it and just because. I'll go first. Mine is... Stainless .45 caliber 30" in length Bead blasted finish. with 6 flutes. MLII action.

Do you feel that the 30" barrel really offers an advantage over say 26" length......if so, how much? Doug

Got daved's old gun. 45 cal. don't know the twist, never measured the length, not fluted, not third pillared, bedded factory laminated stock some kind of nonstandard breech plug that takes savage vent liners, looks to be bead blasted, has a 3.5 x 10 VX III with boone and crocket x hairs, has Leupold quick detachable rings and bases. Shoots the 195 barnes in the blue sabot with 60 grains of H-4198 and CCI 209m primer at about 2600 f/s. Oh Yeah 1 inch at 200 yards. Deer killing machine. I ain't fixin it, ain't broke.

[ Do you feel that the 30" barrel really offers an advantage over say 26" length......if so, how much? Doug[/quote] Doug, If you remember my thread in December, I ordered the 30" barrel because I like the way they looked on the Bad Bull and just to be different. I haven't shot it yet; will shoot it this weekend if my Farrell rings arrive and the Lord wills it ! It may offer a bit more velocity but, in other areas, it would be at a disadvantage vs a 26" barrel.

I did do some work on his rifles but he assembled most of them himself and provided ideas and load information of all sorts. Two of the rifles in my pictures belong to Steve. For those who shoot 40 caliber you can thank Steve. He alone thought up the idea that the 40 Chey Tech barrel would shoot a 40 caliber bullet with little or no sizing. Unlike what he often says he is not like the Japanese auto industry. He often has original thoughts of his own.

I too have an RB creation, that was pictured in his post, but I do most of the heavy work and thinking.....I clean the rifle, I measure the loads [weigh], I clean the rifle.....did I mention I clean the rifle. Oh also when I run into a problem [often] I call Rick and say.....HELP.
