Here is the video of my daughter shooting my Savage 10MLII with 250SST Hornady over 36 gr of 5744 (for my reduced recoil load that my 11 year old can shoot semi comfortably)
The deer was 20 yds. Deer was quartering towards us and she did a perfect hit on the front of the shoulder. Bullet exited out the ribs on the opposite side. Impacted shoulder was pretty much pulp and was a huge wound channel... deer ran about 15 yds... i am surprised it ran that far!

Congrats to the young lady and for making what I deem a nice shot for her age.

Thanks guys! Been lurking on this board for a long time, and was a member of the old board too. I think a NEF/H&R .45 cal smokeless might be in my daughter's future! I dont know who was shaking more after she shot. Her or me! And I dont think have shaken since i was 14! Needless to say, we were both excited I brought the camera along on a whim and figured i would record it, if time allowed. This was her fourth evening in the blind and we did not see any deer during shooting hours on the previous trips. I was proud that she stuck it out and I am pround that she was able to pull the trigger!
