I read SW's write up on proper headspacing, but what if I have a BP that is already in use and the primer fits?
I can set the headspace so the bolt is hard to close, or set it so the bolt feels like it's not really sealing the primer. I set the headspace with a fired primer in place, but in reading the directions that he wrote up, I think it's not set right. (on my gun)
What's the proper way to set the headspace?
Sorry for the confusion, but this is my first barrel swap so I don't really have a "feel" for how it should go. It's not like a CF rifle with a set of go or no-go gauges.

I lke to decide on a primer first as they all fit the breechplug differently. Then set the barrel with a primer installed to the point where just a tiny amount of resistance is noticed over what's felt with no primer in place.
