I think my math is right. I'm sure you guys will correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll update it. But here's an inch by inch comparison of the common contours. Note: The DMB-1 is actually a radius taper from 1.2 to .95, but I approximated it as a straight taper. Approximate weights: 700ML Barrels Sendero: 3.63# verified on postal scale, fluted 3.18#. #7: 5.13# #6: 3.84# Light Palma: 4.21# DMB-1: 4.25# Savage: #7 (the DD): 4.07# Factory (50cal): 3.91# Contours smokelessmz.com/contours.htm

Just means it's smaller than the factory savage measurements. Up to you to decide if that's too small or not.

Anyone know how much of the barrel length is behind the recoil lug starting from the action side of the lug? Trying to measure a stock for possible contours that will fit.
