To swap barrels, bed it and get a 45 cal. ML-II dialed in? I have all the parts/supplies needed with the exception of the barrel.
Penny yesterday said that the barrel will be shipped either 11-8-2011 or 11-9-2011.
The gun in question is a 3rd pillared tupperware stock that RB did a few years ago. I don't know how long it will take in shipping from Oregon to Indiana, I'll be home on Friday and our gun season starts on Saturday. Luckily, I have my ML-I almost dialed in. I think with an hour or 2 of shooting on Friday it'll be spot on.

It doesn't have to be bedded. Some do shoot better after bedding but there are more that probably do a fine job without it. That said to swap barrels shouldn't take more than a half hour and you should be ready to shoot. You can wait to bed it till after season if you want. Otherwise that will take some time to do with prep work and then a cure time. Good luck.

If it was previously bedded to that action changing barrels shouldn't affect anything as far as bedding unless some of the barrel in front of the lug was bedded. If so I would sand that part of the bedding back so it doesn't touch the barrel.

With a proven load, the pacnors all seem to report first outing accuracy right off the bat.
