IMR 4350 with whatever bullet you desire seated to book specs. 1/2 - 3/4 inch groups all day. Try 51.5 of 22 with an accubond. the one I played with liked that load very well.

Never had any luck with RL22, either, although have read that others have. Mine likes RL15 with 75gr bullets, RL17 with 85gr bullets, and H4831 as well as RL17 with 100gr bullets, all .010-.015" from the lands. I don't go heavier than that.

H4831 Sierra 100 gr. BTSP I think it was the 1625 stock #. Shot it in a Savage heavy barrel.

rl17 with 90 grain SGK was the break in load i used. first three shot group was .45 inches. I had loaded the RL22 51.5 gr and 110 accubonds for my encore and it shot the above groups. most other 25-06s I have shot didnt like RL17 though.

I have good luck with 4350 in mine for the last 50 years when it was still a wildcat.

How come every one gets a small caliber and then goes big. Shoot a 70 and get the speed it was made for... Or get a 30/06
