One of the trees that surround our lawn is a pecan and it is a magnet for squirrel each fall. Normally they clean up the pecans before they drop. Late this afternoon I got the pellet gun out and moved my power chair to a good waiting position. It wasn't long before they started working the tree. I shot six without a miss and decided to leave the rest for another day. It was a fun hunt an if I can get my daughter to help we will have some fine eating. Most are young. All greys. Distance was about 25 yards.

Good eating and have no doubts that a pellet rifle will work on squirrels to nearly 50 yards.
