finally shot my non accra trigger savage old but new never shot still has cheap plastic non lume sights shot with 5744 3.4 dipper 250 xtp t/c long sabot 25 yd was 3'' to right moved sight moved over 1'' moved again right on moved to 50 yd shot 3 times all within 1'' in bull wow im very happy was scared the way most talk about changing everything about the savage and you have to do this and that i didnt swab barrel between shots or let it cool it was 40 out now ill scope it i didnt even use a rest im very impressed with this gun a scope and using a rest will be down right scary in good way 6 shots and all would of killed 1st shot wow picked up some lil'gun seen load chart for and some diff bullets 300 and 250 gn will be trying. any input would be great. oh ya win primers. kevin

Hi Kevin, It makes a big difference when you have traveled the road before. I know it is Kevin because WOW Isn't good enough to prevent you from experimenting until you find all the things that don't work. Ben

ya ill agree there just starting with it been reading here alot and started where you guys said someone should i will be shooting more now that the ice fishing is done and longer ranges with scope but for now its the kiss method for me( keep it simple stupid) mabye in time ill try what you guys do but for now i want a deer killer thanks kevin

Save yourself the aggravation and go to any of the other recommended powders ie. 4759, 4198, and VV 110 (if you can get it) depending on what bullets you choose to shoot with it.

kevin k make sure you read up alot of people use H-4198 and some use the IMR-4198. there is some differances.
