I'm attaching the new .45 barrel to my Remington 700 ML action. Seems with an action wrench and barrel vise it's very secure. I was wondering if folks use anything like loctite on the threads first or just crank it down without. Thx

From what I've read qbout 700's in general. Some people use loctite. Others use anti-seize. I plan on using anti-seize on my build.

no need for loctite, torque it down tight and it will never move...

I was told by pn to put some grease or anti-sieze on the threads.

If it is a stainless barrel with a stainless action a very light coating of never seize type products can avoid potential galling between stainless parts I have heard.
