If it was me and the gun is in good shape I would go for it. If you decide you are not interested let me know I'm a ml1 nut. Jon

The way I understood it the ATF gave the 10ML-I a temporary wavier. I do not know if the waiver is still in effect but I doubt that it is.
The cons are the pesky priming modules. It makes getting the modules and the breechplugs a bear.
The pros are since it uses a centerfire bolt, taking the bolt out is much easier. Another good thing is the action makes a great base for a poormans benchrest gun. Put a third pillar between the current action screws and with a decent barrel, trigger and stock, your competitive. I seen one that consistently shoots in the .2s on a decent day with a used Lilja barrel re-chambered in .223AI.

Rick. I really like the ml1 design I would like to maybe build one with a custom barrel. I know they have their own problems but I have quite a few parts and custom parts. I think they are a great gun. The last one I bought did not have to go FFL? Like I said if I were you I would go for it. If you decide to there are people here that can help and if there is anything I can do to help let me know. All I ask if for whatever reason you would decide not to go for it please let me know. Jon

I bought one last year, killed two deer with it last season, the modules are like carrying bullets around, in cold weather I can handle them easier than a 209 primer. The ml1 barrels seem to be a lot smoother than the ml2 chatter marks. I'm happy with mine.

Jon Jon, I'm going to kick it around for a few days and if I do decide that I don't want to mess with it I'll get in touch with you. I have a real nice 700ml that I want to build and I'm not really sure that I want to take on another right now.
