I'am just getting started with my 10mlII and I have imr4198 and some ftx325 grain bullets on hand. I shot a 4 shot group with 65 grains and orange mmp sabots, if i take the first shot away I would of had a 3 shot group of just over 1 inch. I was wondering just how high I can go with this powder, is the preasure on these bullets similar to the 300 grain options. I know recoil will be a factor, but I'am a big guy and can handle it. I dont have a chrono so I have no idea of my fps,but if someone out there uses a similar load I would like some input. Thanks

I use 70 gr of H4198 and this is safe in my gun. Check the loads section for advice on which one you should use a few grains less of. One of them is a little faster I think.
You've picked a winner for a good shooting bullet.

General wisdom was that IMR4198 is a tad hotter than H4198 so reducing max loads by 2 grains when using the IMR version is common.

You may want to try some Harvester BCR (Black Crushed Rib) sabots and see how they shoot compared to the mmp's.

I have tried that combination and they fit to tight in my barrel. I can hardly get them loaded. The mmps are just a little thinner and they load much better. I have the blue barrel and people seam to think that these are a little tighter then the ss barrel.
