Thanks for the welcome, Harley.
I realized I was a little short on the personal information in my previous post to this thread. First, where did I get JNRBRONC? When my wife and I bought a farm, we were looking to name it. We took Julie's initial, my initial (Randy) put an "N" (= and) between them for JNR then put FARMS behind it to give us JNRFARMS. Well, sitting around trying to come up with an on-line username. I was struggling and since we had a rather large horse herd (23) at the time and me being slightly less than the conventional type ;D I came up with JNRBRONC.
I try not to post pictures of my wife and kids, as I figure that is really their call as to whether they want their photos plastered across the internet.
So to round out the bio, I'm 47, live in Iowa, married with two boys (15 & 14 years old) and work in the biomedical research field. Like to hunt (mostly archery and ML), fish, camp and garden.

Hello all. I just found this place, thanks to a helpful someone on another board. Lots of good information here. I just hope I can contribute in some way one day. Right now, I'm here to learn. Looks like I've got some catching up to do! I'm in Southern VA. I do computers and networking for a living. I hunt just about everything there is to hunt. Waterfowl, doves, varmints, and of course deer. Not sure if I can post pics, but I'll give it a shot. Here is my newly furnished Savage 10ML-II. I pulled the factory laminated stock and tweaked this B&C Duramaxx for a good fit. A little Dremel, a litte Devcon, and little milling machine work, and she's ready for the Fall!

Hi everyone, new member here...Scott from West Virginia. I'm mostly into high quality spring powered airguns. Mostly for target practice, plinking and squirrel hunting. Planning on buying a savage MLII soon and found this board. Lots of great info here. Here's a pic of me and my son Jacob taken last winter:

Indeed! Sometimes hard to remeber that these days since I'm in the commercial real estate business. But just looking at the above photos puts the world in a correct perspective! Thanks wilmsmeyer. I think I sent you some powder vials if not mistaken.

The lil ones may have a chance this year. Real big one spotted. Dad missed it last year so the kids get a shot during youth season.

Greetings! I just registered and I want to say thank you for this great message board. The amount and variety of information is terrific. I'm from PA, and I love to shoot and hunt deer. I would prefer to use the traditional T/C type Maxi Balls in my Mod. 10. My best hunting buddy gave me a large number of these. They each weigh 364 grains. I have some IMR 4198, and I wondered if anyone could recommend a starting and max loading of IMR4198 for a 364 grain maxi ball. I found the data for a 325 grain sabotless bullet (68-70 grains of IMR 4198), but I wonderd what load would work safely with the bullets I have. Thanks, and I look forward to viewing this great site in the future! taylor

Hey everyone! This is my second year using the Savage 10 ML-II - I love that rifle. I was able to take my first deer this year with it. I'm from Ohio and have enjoyed the two years that I've been hunting (used to be fishing only...now I hunt more than I fish...but I still love to fish!)
