Has anyone tried a scope with a mil-dot reticle or a Nikon with BDC reticle to judge your holdover on longer shots with the .45 caliber 195 barnes set up. If not any scope suggestions? Thanks Kid...

I have a mil-dot on my Burris XTR Tactical 3x12x50 scope and use the .45 cal 195 gr Barnes. I don't even use the dots; my rifle shoots flat enough to 300 yards that I just use the crosshair. You can see my load in my signature below. I might just shoot some longer distance shots this summer and see what the dots offer. You have inspired me.

I have the mil-dots...usually dial rather than hold over. I like the Nikon Buckmaster, good scope at a great price. You can get it with the mil-dots but there are small marked hand-turnable turrets under the caps if you want to dial.
