How light could you safely build one of these? I am on the fence about building one of these.

pig # 1 mock up, a little unorthodox I know but I like it.[img src="http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn218/billsheliatravis/DSC_0242.jpg" [img src="http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn218/billsheliatravis/DSC_0243.jpg" img]

this weighs in at 9/13 as pictured but you could safely do a barrel in the 3 1/2 lb range or maybe even less but I like to operate on the safe side of life

knox axiom. it has an adj butt and a dual spring system for recoil. looks kind of wild but I think I will like it. I got it for my 8 yr old son so it would adj to fit him as he grows but I might have to get another. I bedded the same stock for a friends 6.5x284 norma on a stiller 300 action and took it to him this morning. he really likes it..

Hillbill, I like that stock! It is WAY more functional than a thumbhole. And it sets your fist and wrist in a natural and comfortable position. Also sets the LOP for shirtsleeves or a Mackinaw. Good Job!

to have such a heavy barrel it balances well, the forearm is a little weak but its no where near the barrel so it will work. it has a spring in the tube and another in the grip that holds the rear lug the stock attaches to. the lug slides and allows the spring to do its thing so it should help with the 325 parkers...
