A question for Edge and anyone that uses QL. I'm thinking about ordering QL and would appreciate any input. From what I see on the board it seems to work well and if anything it is Conservative. Jon

I used it for years with CF and it was unbelievable at working up accurate loads. I have used it very little( don't even have it installed on current computer) on smokeless MLing. Duplex and not having any idea of what "start pressure" to use have caused me to not use it. Likely it still would work and Edge seems to have a good idea of it's usage for smokeless MLing. The curves on the graphs are excellent in predicting the harmonics of a load so I often did little tweaking. It predicted 28.0 TAC and 30.2 BLC-2 as accurate loads for 40 NBT in my 24"(shortened from 26") 9 twist 223 Sav . They shoot sub 0.5" 100 yds and sub 3" at 300 yds. This is with a 2.5X10 scope. No loading chart out of any book would have gotten these loads. Also QT which is part of the package works very well.

SW. Thank you for the feed back. I'm seriously thinking abouy ordering it. I understand it may be a learning curve for a ML but Edge seems to have good sucess with it. Jon

Is it worth $150 for the ML......probably not because of the sabot and the need to duplex. If someone is going to be shooting sabotless then the usefulness goes up and with odd bore/bullet combos it goes up more. It does show relatively well which powders should work better and burn more completely in a particular situation. Our loads are nowhere in loading manuals except for Bigmoose and his big boy bullets 99% of our loads use bullets off the chart in low mass for caliber. Now if I had the money looking for something to be spent on then QL is a pretty good product. On the other hand if the $150 is dear and buying 2 or 3 different powders or different bullets or new boots or camo won't happen because I bought the QL then I would hold off with the QL and just ask someone here to test out some loads for you. edge.

Thank you all for the info. One more question Being that I only know enough about computers to be dangerous. How user friendly is it? Jon

Jon................Once you tackle putting pictures on the forum and then master the Pressure Trace, then consider the QL As fat as that barrel is, I doubt you could fit enough Bullseye powder in that chamber to blow it up ;D I see UPS showed up! Richard

Richard. Yes UPS showed up Everything looks great. That is the reason for the fat barrel. I'm at least for me treading on new waters and after seeing pressure traces I'm trying to copper my bets. I was surprised for a stock that had a bedding block how much actual bedding it really took. Thanks for a great job. By the way I do now have a photo bucket account and was able to e-mail pictures just haven't mastered putting them on the board and really haven't had anything worth showing . Jon
