[/img]OK the pacnor bullberry encore is getting closer. Tonite I tried the breechplug mod... Not happy with it really. The plug is a recessed plug..so I had to drill it down to where I could countersink it for a Savage ventliner.. I have a drill press but it will only drop down to 480rpm's..So as you can see I have some gaulding.. I just used a Lowes Hitachi countersink... As I stated not reall happy with it..But As you can see the ventliner is dropped in there pretty good. I drilled the hole through to the primer hole. And the shoulder of the V/L doesnt fit exactly tight all around the counter sink shoulder.. but I think it will be all right..However this is my first attempt at this..and plugs are not real expensive for this gun. But Someone here is sure to be able to make a better plug for me.. I dont know if the old style flat face is still available ..If so that is what I would rather have. I will probably send these off for mod's from one of the good people on this board. But anyway the main question here is this..Would you senior members look at this thing and tell me your opinion on shooting it a few time's..like maybe a total of 50 til I get some better machined? I sure dont want to hurt myself or my new gun here. I will try to post the pic's of them so as to help you evaluate them. As always thanks for your help Drop i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq6/12ptdroptine/100_0313.jpg"] [/img]

There is actually an earlier design plug with just a slight dish instead of the "powder pocket". The new one was T/Cs answer to BH209 reliability and its pretty good with BH209. In a SML application i would look for the older plug and not seat the vent liner as deep....just for more steel mainly. They made about 4 different ones for Omegas. Im not 100% sure about the Encores. First two are the most common Omega plugs and the last one is a Encore plug.

Russell why did you countersink the sealing surface? The ones I have done did not require that. I talked to Pete at pa machine and if someone will send him a old style plug he will make them and add a snout. I personally wouldn't use your countetsunk bearing surface plug you have there.

Russel..............The countersink is 82* (to match the Savage vent liners) NOT the standard 60 that is on most countersinks. They are available at industrial supply houses like MSC.com or Grainger. Richard

OK Thanks Richard. Dave where I countersank it was already there... I just tried to match the shoulder of the vent liner. I called T/C this afternoon.. They no longer make that old style plug. Everything now is tha Powder Pocket type..3/8" deep ... everything revolves around the "Pellet User".... so Who has some of the old ones they would like to sell? Drop
