Decided to take the 8.5 x 25 scope off and put back on my hunting scope which is a 6x18 lepould with blastic/dot. Think I have it ready from 100 to 300 yds useing the cross hair at 100yds the first dot at 200 and the third dot at 300. The 300 I used the 12 pwr setting and it was close enough for hunting. The first shot was a little right so I went 2 clicks to the left, second one was at 9 o'clock and the third was at 6 o'clock.I ment to go back and shoot one more shot but forgot to.Still had a 3 1/8 in group. Next group down I tried the 195's with same load which I am shooting 64 grs of H4198. Have never got the 195's to shoot good out of my gun so this 7 in group was no exception. Next group I decide to try the 200 xtp.Sure was surprised to see it do that good at 300 yds.Have to try that again next time. This is the best group that I have ever gotten with the any xtp at 300 yds. I guess you can say it was just luck.1 3/8 in had to be luck with the 200 xtp. The xtps hit about 6 inches lower than my setting with the sst's.

That is quite a group, solid at 100 yards let alone 300.

Plan on trying these xtp's again next week,if I get the first 3 even close to this group I will try 2 more.Who knows I may get to shoot 5 times at one deer one of these days. I used the smooth blue sabots and didn't knurl the bullets.Just tried them because the 195's shot so bad. Its a wonder I even hit the target at any range.Earlier I had a case to seperate in my target rifle, the gas came back through the bolt and burnt my face, sure glad I have to wear glasses to see, could have been bad on my eyes too.So was a little weary shooting after that. I checked these cases before I reloaded them because they had several reloadings on them, either the gage lied or I just missed this one.Went home pulled the bullets out of 14 I had left and gage says they should be ok to shoot again but I throwed the whole lot away. Can't be TOO safe when shooting any firearm. Got a new load to try with the 195's next week also?
