I was wondering if anyone knows of any tactical or custom bolt handle that will fit my MlII. I know the rifle ones do not work because they don't cam forward when closing. I've read some people cut the knob off and thread the handle for knobs. Im not opposed to doing it that way, but the bolt handles are hardened and I don't have tools to do it right.

Here is a picture of my 10ML-II with a Sharp Shooter's Supply stainless tactical bolt handle installed. You are correct, the bolt handle will have to have a bevel milled or filed off so it can cam shut for the ML. I just happen to have a friend who is a part-time gunsmith and he milled the bevel perfectly for mine. I don't know of any tactical handles specifically for the Savage ML. You'll probably have to have one milled off like I did if you want one on your's. I got the idea off of the board when Hillbill posted a picture of his Savage with the same handle last year.

sss has the handles in round top as nic has pictured and flat that matches the older flat rear reciever. fitting is no big deal with a small file and smooth it up with fine paper wrapped around a paint paddle or similar. others have bolt handles as well as I have seen other members pics in the past but not sure about the supplier.
on most factory stocks some relieving in the handle slot has to be done, again, no big deal. some sandpaper wrapped around a 3/8 dowell rod and some tru oil to seal the finish will suffice.

Kevin Rayhill of Stockade makes the overall best replacement bolt handle for the MLII that I know of. The optional lift kit is a must have to go with it. No fitting needed ! www.stockadegunstocks.com/accessories.htmlHere's mine pictured on my MLII.

Thanks for the link. I like the bolt handle and their stock pricing seems very fair on the "money savers".
Has anyone tried their stocks on a ML-II build?

I know Tar12 has had a couple of Rayhill stocks. I remember a picture of one of his 10ML-II's with a Stockade Mule Deer stock on it and it looked really nice.
