Guess I havn't been paying attention, hows does bad bull shoot 3100fps sabotless without blowby around the lands. I have a new pacnor 45 measures 458 bore 451.5 land to land and looking at my stash of 451 & 452 bullets trying to figure out how to do this, are their lands not cut as deep so the bullet is easier to seat in the lands, then what about the blowby, are you covering the powder before seating a bullet? Thanks jEFF~

you will likely have to size the 451 and 452 bullets down further, how much would depend on the actual land to land diameter of your specific barrel. most find it easier to undersize then knurl back up to just over land-land size for a tight fit. and although its not needed, some sort of wad is recomended, some prefer wool and others a veggie wad. when fired the bullet will obturate to fill the grooves, although there probably is some factor of blowby?
hope this helps some, good luck!

Jeff From what I have read on here ,most sabotless shooters here have been using the swinglock smooth die or the full form die to get the sizing right. That seems to be the common denominater for the successful ones that I have seen. I am all ears on any other tips and pointers on the sabotless techniques that others have. Anyone else please SHARE . Jeff, if your bore is a consistent .4515 land to land, you will need to do nothing but knurl the Parker BE & the new 325 Match/Hunter. The flat base Barnes TEZ's range anywhere from .450-.4515 so most of those would only need knurled also. I would make some kind of go-no go gauge to keep from getting one stuck in the bore since they are so inconsistent on diameter. The Barnes XPB's might work with only knurling but you get different diameters based on which band you measure. Any .451 bullet should work with only knurling. .452's are going to need to be sized. I use .030 or .060 veggies, others use wool wads, lubed or un-lubed. Not sure if there is an advantage to one over the other. I used to swab between shots but even with the fouler clean barrel shots, there is a soot ring in the target backer where there appears to be blow-by on the bullet as you can see here. Supposedly Bad Bull uses the same barrel that is on my #1 and the grooves do not seem to be as deep as the grooves on my stock MLII but I have never slugged it to verify. Smokeeter said his Kreiger appears to have deeper grooves than his Shilen also even though his Shilen is a different twist than mine. JMO shallower grooves should help in getting a quicker, better, seal but I would be surprised if a complete seal could be accomplished.

Jeff............this post is not meant to question the dimension you quoted on land to land being .4515". I am actually curious since I'm getting right at .4505" on both my .45 PN's. Penny had told me they hold tolerances to .0002"? Does, in fact, a .451" pistol bullet or measured .451" projectile go down the bore un obstructed? If so, than PN might be "fibbing?" If your just using the back side of a caliper inside the bore, then I could see a discrepancy of .001" Thanks Richard
