I was just wondering if anyone based on their experiences, could give me a approximate total cost installed of a .50 cal Pac-Nor barrel on a 10ML-II? I am not including the cost of the 10ML-II itself.
Am looking to buy a second 10ML-II now they are available again and would like to re-barrel it with a .50 Pac-Nor. I know .45 cal has some attractive advantages, but I have 100s of sabots and 1000s of bullets for use in a .50 cal ML.
Thanks, Arthur.

Bedding, third pillar and thumb screw for the bolt was 200.00. Dougedwards graciously mounted it for nothing. Hope this helps, Rusty

Art............the barrel itself runs, like Rusty said, between $450 and around $600 depending if you want it fluted or not? If you do your own installation............NO CHARGE, Bedding if you do it yourself, NO CHARGE. Thats about it??? Richard

Art, you would also need a barrel nut wrench which I'm sure there are any number of members (including me) that would loan you one if you didn't want to buy it. A poor man's barrel vice can be fashioned by boring a hole in a block of 4x4 and ripping it right down the middle. Put this in a bench vice and you are set. If you are not comfortable giving the wrench a whack with a big plastic faced hammer, I've found that a little rosin powder on the barrel in the vice works very well to prevent slippage.

Can be done for a LOT less than the Pac-Nor price from Savage-Barrels, about 380.00 or so from them
