:)Dennis I would say from a hunters point of view those first 3 with 62&63grs of h4198 are very impressive. Was the barrel getting warm on 4&5? Great shooting

1st 10/23/34 5min between shots 10-12min between targets 2nd 62gn 3rd 63gn
Didnt feel too warm, but probably was. probably should of had a cooling rod today or waited longer, still learning ;D.

Great shooting Dave that was my same thought on that.I think if you go to the range again and shoot the 62-63 gr h-4198 shoot a 3 shot group in about 10-13mint cooling between shots then let the gun set for about 20 min then come back and shoot 2 more into the 5 shot group.I don't no if it will tighten it up anymore cause that some great shooting but it worth a try. Note if you shoot another 3shot like you just did you better put tape over them holes when your letting barrel cool off cause you just might be wondering if you don't.

Nice shooting. I know your chrony was down but whats the average fps with a 200gr bullet using 62-63gr H4198? Just curious. Thanks.

Big difference between the N120 and the 4198 using the same bullets. The triplex did not stack up very well. Maybe the cooling rod would of helped it. Good session overall!

Nice shooting - its hard to beat the the 62 63 grain H4198 in most of these 45 cal setups for a good hunting load.

Denis..........Nice shooting! Looks like the singles are around an inch and the triplex about 1 1/4"? Of course, one group with each load is not really the measure of what does and does not shoot. You may very well shoot the same loads and the triplex comes out a 1/4 or 1/2 better? It is just the way it is ;D Again, cooling makes a difference. I would really like to see some velocities when you get the chrono up and running? Would also like to see TG in PA run that triplex and see what he gets for pressure (so I can compare with my results) My experience had been that single powder loads at "X" fps would register quite a bit more pressure than duplex and triplex loads which produced the same fps. The chrono will also show ES which is important. Richard
