Finally got her done. Barnes 195 gn bullets on order so range reports to follow. Looking forward to seeing what she can do. It's a Pac-Nor 45, 26 in barrel, Rem ML 700 action, Stockade stock with alm bedding block as well as fiberglass bedding, hunter bolt conversion with a Savage breach plug. Hopefully the weather and the UPS man will cooperate and I'll get to shoot Mon or Tue next week. This project wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the great folks here on this site. Thanks to all. Hope she shoots as good as she looks.

Thanks. I"m chomping at the bits to get out and shoot it. I have everything but the bullets and hopefully they show up tomorrow. If not I"ll round up some XTP's to try out. H-4198 is what I'll start with and the smooth blue sabots. Your correct Tar12 that is the Woodchuck stock. I liked the one that was on the Savage 50 I bought from you so well I decided to go with another. Just a different paint job. As far as balance goes I'm surprised at how comfortable it feels. It's not a rifle I'll be toting around the mountains though.

Finally had a few hours to get to the range yesterday. Conditions where 62 deg with a 7-10 mph wind. Took 4 shots to get it on paper at fifty then moved out to 100 to see what she could do. I was pleasantly surprised when the 1st two shots where touching. Shot 6 for the heck of it and one I knew I pulled when the trigger broke. That's all I had time for. Need to eliminate the 5lb trigger and remember to index the sabots next outing. The load was 60gn H-4198, 195 BX in light blue sabots waiting 5 min between shots with cooling rod. I've got more $ than I care to mention ( to my wife) in this rig, but worth every penny so far. Thanks to all for all the great advice. It's going to be fun.

I haven't seen a pacnor conversion that can't shoot tight...!!! Your gun is right inline on that, good shooting. Tweak the trigger and go stack some bullets ,Good Luck, Greenhorn
