Most load data ive seen is with N110 and 4759 with upto a 275gr bullet.
Has anyone tried powders like N120 or Re7 and a 275gr or 300gr bullet. I understand the twist is kinda slow and i don't plan on going over a 300gr. Just looking for a starting point mainly with N120 and Re7. Im not really trying to match the fps i can get in the Savage with those powders but an accurate and safe load would be nice. Preferably with a .458 bullet.

I believe there are load ranges for both those powders in the load database.

Yes thanks I should be hearing back from him soon but i did find a little info on N120 and a 300gr after A LOT of digging. I dont know if he has ever tried Re7 but it seems like a good choice in the NULA with a 300gr bullet.

GMB54120, I'd start off with 60grs of Re7 and work upwards. You'll probably get your best groups around 62-63grs. After 65grs recoil gets annoying, Good Shooting!

Thanks That was my guess also and if 60gr will shoot well then thats enough fps for me. Ive shot upto 65gr and the 325gr FTX in the Savage and recoil does get noticeable. Its not a load i would enjoy in the NULA. Locally Re7 is is easy to get and only $23lb so its very appealing.
