Hi, I am new to the board but have had my savage thumbhole stainless ML ll since jan of 2010. This site pretty much convinced me to purchase my savage. My go to load right now is 63gr of RE7, BCR and a 325ftx. Recoil is ok and the load is shooting around 1 1/2 at 100yds. This seems to be a very consistant shooting load for me. I also have H4198, N120 and 5744 that I am playing around with.
Also want to say thanks to all of you who post this useful info on this board. You really helped me get to where i am at with this savage a lot faster....and cheaper.

Welcom aboard jgar This is THE place to obtain the most cutting edge technology available on smokeless MZL loaders. The people here are the most generous I have ever dealt with .They share all of their knowledge here. Everything from single stage load's (with pressure traces and chrono information) To pictorials on how to build a custom centerfire mzlloader. My problem seems to arrise from the need to keep building more.... LOL its all these guy's fault. But when you can proudly carry a target into the local gunshop and pin it up on the board...And compete with the CF guy's it's a hoot. Again welcome aboard. Drop

Welcome, 63gns of R7 was also a favorite in my 50 Ive just barely started with this load but it looks great sofar with the 325gr FTX and Re7 is very affordable/available in my area. Ive got some N120 for comparisons but considering the cost/availability, i dont see it doing much better unless you want more fps. The 325gr FTX is a mean killing machine IMO and 63gr-67gr of Re7 seems to put the bullet right in its ballistic sweet spot. I get them super cheap at the gun shows also at nearly half of MSRP. ;D

jgar.........Welcome to the board. I doubt you will find more information on smoke less ML'ing anywhere else on the internet. Send some pic's of you loads and groups. The good and the bad. By showing what does not work, others can save powder and bullets or at least not be disappointed if they try it and it does not work! Some members here are only interested in one good load to harvest deer or other critters.........Others want to squeeze every last ounce of precision out of their ML's ;D So, there is lots of stuff here to satisfy everyone's needs! Richard
