With all the talk of trouble getting your barrel drop from PacNor, is anybody getting their drops from McGowen? I know a few have ordered from them, did you request the drop and if so did you get it?
I will probably be ordering a McGowen through Savage-barrels, but if it doesn't have the requested drop the one from my specific barrel, they will not be getting paid. Seems simple enough to read a dang work-order.

I did get drop from a McGowen barrel. It's stainless, has eight lands and grooves. Is it drop from MY barrel? How does one know for sure?
How would one refuse payment in the event the drop does not come with a barrel? The payment is made prior to them sending it to you.

No offense to anyone but businesses exist to offer products to customers, that's how they survive. If I requested a barrel drop from the product I'm paying roughly $400 for, then it d**n well better be there. It will be plainly stated in my order that payment will be void if the drop is not provided, if they can't live with that, then I can go elsewhere.
That's paramount to ordering a value meal and they leave out the fries, they either give me the fries or I get my money back.
Simple business 101, and like I said: How hard is it to read a work order?
I don't mean to sound arrogant because I'm not, but I have owned several businesses and when I tell a customer something will be included in the order and it doesn't arrive as promised, I am looking at a returned item, and a lost customer.
Just the way I see it, not trying to force my opinion on anyone.
I do see your point of not knowing if the drop is yours though, that's kind of tough to solve.

I requested drops with all three barrels from Mcgowen and was told in a confirmation email that they would be shipped with the order. my barrels are six groove so I will know for sure they are mine.

I can't believe it is hard for them to give you guys the drop. I am working on a Brux barrel for Jim and he asked for a 2" drop from it and he will get the 2" drop from the end of "his" barrel, not a chunk pulled from the dumpster.
