Thanks, Dennis

Mine is 2.103 long and 1.203 diameter-no contour. It's off of a 26" DD .458

Thanks jray57, thats kinda what i thought 26"barrel + 2" drop = 28"blank. The one they sent me is less than 7/8" long O.D. .797 and the O.D. of my barrel is .887. and they are telling me thats the drop from my barrel. BS

well i guess im not the only one. At week 10 of my order i called to see the status of my order and was told it was shipping today, Great. A week goes by no barrel. I call to find out status of barrel this time i get barrel is ready but saving drop was not on sheet. After expressing my displeasure i was offered a discount on the barrel ( the amount not said) and asked how long of a drop i would like, which i replied 2-3" and that the drop would be shipped at a later date which i agreed.I was then told that the barrel would ship today,Great. I then asked to email a tracking number when shipped. 4 days goes by no email, i email back fri morning with no response on friday. I call on moday was told barrel was shipped out last Thursday. I then inquired about the discount that pacnor offered and was told there would be none, that the guy went through the bucket of drops and found "the exact" one from my barrel, Then in the next breath i was told my drop was found in the packaging of the box and was overlooked. I guess the part that pisses me off the most is that i was lied to, to my face on the phone. I do realise accidents and mistakes can and do happen, i just wish they would have been straight up with me. I figured when ordering a custom barrel more attention to details would have been taken. Just wanted to share my experience and hope yours is better. Thanks, Dennis

Maybe getting a drop is unusual for barrel makers. I asked for one with my Krieger barrel and it was said it was forgotten. I had it written down on the build order but maybe it is a bother for them or it gets overlooked.

Dennis sorry to hear about your problems with pn. Hopefully when you get your barrel and shoot it you will feel much better.

My suggestion is this: After you order a barrel and tell Penny exactly what you want, send her a follow up e-mail and designate: "REQUEST READ RECEIPT". List all details and then keep a copy for yourself. If there are any future conflicts, just resend that initial e-mail. OR, when checking on the status of your barrel, e-mail her with this information/instructions. That way, there is no dispute. Richard

I just got 2 barrels from Pacnor Friday for 700ml conversion. Both drops were 1" and neither were marked as to which barrel they were from. The finished barrel lengths were 25" as I thought there would be a 3" drop.

Make a phone call and rip someones backside...Their policy SHOULD be everyone gets a drop for their DD barrel as standard procedure and that they get every inch of what they paid for.

I agree with Tar............These blanks should be at least 29" to start with since I believe the barrel price is the same for anything up to 28" finished. They have to allow about one inch for possible slight damage from the "lapping rod" Therefore a 25" finished barrel should yeild somewhere around a 4" drop. Mine was 3" from a 26" barrel. Richard

How are they going to make it right? Casey called me and I actually suggested he contact Dave to make post for verification. Casey didn't mention any effort to make anything right for me and I bought 2 barrels.
