Probably won't get to shoot it until Easter weekend. Windy weather all week with possible mixed rain/snow this weekend. Guess I'll just have to take the advice I gave Rusty.....be patient and go fly a kite. ;D ;D Sorry about the photo quality. Will take more when we go to the range. No, I didn't order a polished barrel. That's just how it came.

The action is a Marlin XS7, like the one edge has on his build.
The barrel came from McGowen. There were some bad "bumps" along the way in both service and quality of machining for the breech plug. I sure hope they have things done correctly for you guys who are ordering through Savage Barrels. And REALLY hope they all turn out to be good shooters.
The stock is a Boyd's stock which comes finished. Marlin is supposed to be bringing out varmint type barrels this year, and Boyd's will probably follow up with a wider forend stock than this one. It took a LOT of sanding to get this stock made for a pencil thick barrel out to the size needed. The barrel is actually too big for the forend at that.
As for the breech plug, it would cause too much controversy to reveal right now. Will let you know after a hundred or so shots through it.
The scope is one of the Nitrex scopes that was on sale, a TR2 3-15x.
It didn't really seem like I personally did all that much on this build.....almost too simple in many ways. Opening the forend of the stock just took time, elbow grease, and patience. I did try my hand at poured pillars for the first time, and it turned out quite well. The rifling at the crown was sharp (no surprise) and needed to be lapped. Saboted bullets will now go down with no tearing.
But the proof is in the pudding, and will be very happy if she'll do MOA or under.
