picks the problem is your sabot is to thick for caliber. With smokeless velocities the bullet will push thru the bottom of the base which we call drilling. Now if you were using bp subs or a very low pressure load it might work but as far as getting them up to any beneficial speed I would be skeptical.

I tried 60grains of H4198 and was drilling sabots. Didn't bother trying anything else.

Do you think they would work with the subs like Blackhorn 209? I was thinking about trying that same load as picks in my .45 Knight DISC Elite.

It works great with subs, but then you can't achieve the velocities that you can using .40 cal slugs. The best I could do using a Hornady .357" 180gr XTP was 2289fps with 140grs FFFG T7. It didn't drill, but some may consider that overloaded. I also used a Hornady .358" 200grSP with a .004" paper patch and the same load would generate 2170fps which is 100fps faster than a .35Rem, but most guys want more speed out of their Pac-Nor. You may want to experiment with some of the slower burning powders like IMR3031 or Hodgdon Benchmark or the new XBR 8208 for powders with a very flat curve to curb drilling.
