The Red Crush Ribs are great, although they're for .452 bullets. For .458 you'd want the Black Crush Rib. I'm afraid I can't help you with the Barnes question.

When they first came up as a replacement for the X bullet[ one of my go to bullets] I called Barnes Tech service, I spoke to a gent who shot ML's, he said he didn't think they would be a good fit, since they had much less bearing surface, due to the three sets of bands.

Thanks john I tried to get them to shoot a couple years ago...Never knew where they were going to hit. They would probably be way too tight using the Reds. The BCR's were tight in my Savage. Zen
