I got the bullets earlier to do some shot shell slugs but can't get the right info. Then I thought of making a "Whisper" shell and it looked cool BUT now I got the brass for them. HUMMM Whisper Hell!!! I want to go for it full boar. There is no info any one have any "GOOD" suggestions?? I'm thinking some thing like 30gr 800X, or 32gr Bluedot??? I'll have to stuff in about 5/8" of a cork filler and I'll slightly crimp the top and use Water glass to hold it all together.Workable? or is it a easy way to remove a hand or eye???

Can I get two of those to go. If I could afford the projectiles I would feel like I had to have it.

Do a search for 12 gage from hell Ed has alot of info for what you need. He uses 50cal brass formed to 12g to shoot slugs. Look on youtube for (grampas cannon) it is Ed shooting his 12GFH.

there was a guy over on another board... building these thing's. My kid thought he was some kind of guru... I told him not to just blindly follow someones suggestion's that he doesn't know. coures I dont know nuthin... So he ordered about a thousand dollars worth of thing's he will never use... found a couple rational people there that pm'd him telling him he was deal ling with an untested...unsafe operation..funny how he believed them over old pop here....Now he has a ton of stuff he will never use.. And 2 good recipe's for slug's. That thing you are trying to load there looks awful dangerous to me. I would check my local law's regarding the possession of artillery shell's. You better be darn careful.. And the idea of setting it off with a string? That's what I made my kid do.. After I showed him some nasty picture's of bloody accident's...He wasn't so eager... Again BE CAREFUL.. I sure dont want to read where one of my fellow board members isn't able to shoot..or see anymore. Drop

;D Just got some info from BPI... 27 gr of 800X. PSI is 10,000 the speed is 1650 fps. There made to run in a Rifled barrel 12 gauge... That is WAY normal shot gun stuff.

What do they suggest to take up all the air space? Looks like that hull could hold 10X that amount no?

What gr. is that slug? Who makes them? And I'm not trying to be a smart butt, but is it legal to have over a .50 cal thats not a muzzle loader? I don't think in a handgun it is. Still cool looking let us know if you survive . 161

Still cool looking let us know if you survive . 161 The only place you can get them is B.P.I., there made here in Butte MT. There 350 gr and are copper and aluminum. You use cork 10 Gauge spacers like a SHOT SHELL seeing how it's a 12 Gauge shot gun shell it is very legal to have ... No pistol !

I knew it wasn't a handgun. I'm just full of questions. Never seen anything like it. Didn't realize it's aluminum It looks a lot heavier than that.

;D Just shot some test ones. At 100 yards and with open sights we where around 3" I'm going to tweak the load a little, use a bit more filler over the gas seal and 2/10's more 800X and crimp it a bit harder. It looked like the bullet/slug was moving in just a tad. There was still LOTS of power left in the slug out that far It splintered our target board and a big post and we still could not find any of the slug...

Didn't know if you used a Savage bolt gun or what. I have a 870 cantilever barrel shoots Hornady slugs very well. It's an interesting project. Keep us informed I'd like to see what you end up with for accuracy. Warren

I have an old Marlin bolt action 12 gauge shotgun that I'd love to find a rifled slug barrel for. I'll load some more and do a better test soon and get back with the results and pictures.

Do a quick search on google and look for 12ga from hell and you will see a guy that uses that brass with full power loads shooting something like 700gr bullets. Looks like a brute thats for sure

Yes it is and he uses 50 cal brass and fire forms them to 12ga. And adds a brass end from a 12ga shell so it can be extracted. I like the idea that the brass will last longer. I have some that I need to fire form but it will only be 2.75" for sabots. Now I have been using my 10ML for longer shots at deer.
