I wanted to go back to the range and play some more with some duplex loads.I shot some duplexes here what i shot. I shot 10grn110 and 65gr 2015 ave velocity was about 2860fps not a good group. 11grn110 and 65gr 2015 ave velocity was 2876fps .I also shot 12gr n110 and 65gr 2015 bl-owed sabot right off the start all duplexes was shot with 200gr SST. I also try-ed 8gr n110 and 67gr H-322 not a good group. I also had some 64gr n120 made up to test and shoot at 200 yrd to see how it did. I am wondering if any of you have shot the n120 in hotter weather and if so how did it do? Here is my pet load 59gr H-4198 and a 195 Barnes bullet 200yd Ave Velocity is 2597 fps Note all shot was with stock breech plug. Thanks Marty

:)marty fantastic shooting.that h4198 load is very consistent and i think you will see the same with n120 after a few more outtings.

Can we sub 4759 for the 15/55 or is it a waste of time? Can not find N-110 in stock around my area. Hate to pay the haz-mat fee, I am just to cheap.

Yes you can substitute 4759 but will probably have to up the charge to around 17 or 18gr. to get similar velocities? I am actually going to do a similar test this week on a triplex that I normally use 10 grains for the starter powder.........I am upping it (in this case, 5744) to 14 grains just to see how it compares. N-110 is going to be hotter than either 5744 or 4759. If you get a load that shoots good at say............2850 fps with a given duplex or triplex then I believe you need to taylor any substitutions to mimic that velocity. Probably due to barrel oscillations and at what node the bullet leaves the muzzle? Just a theory, not carved in stone Richard
