I have a .45 Super Disc and a .45 Elite, I upgraded the .45 Super with the Extreme bolt several years ago and have had no blow back at all with it. Well I just upgraded the .45 Super & the .45 Elite with the LEHIGH Dave conversion last night. The conversion fit perfectly, no sanding what so ever, now I just need time to do some testing. Thanks Dave for the conversion. ;D

All of my DISC based Knights have the Lehigh NFPJ conversion and i couldn't be happier with the results. At least 2 are so clean there is almost no need to clean the breach after 50 shots. I got them at first just because i wanted clean.
Now i like them best because of the extreme BH209 reliability and in the 45s it seems to increase the performance of BH209. The larger than bore powder pocket appears to act like a bottle neck cartridge. I don't have any hard data to back this up but they sure shoot great.
Ive converted most of the guns on the "may not fit" list without a single issue including a jeweled bolt GMB54-120. I would suggest trying plain old Win209s (longest) and even WinT7s. I was amazed that i haven't had a single hangfire with the WinT7s/BH209 even with loose fitting PR Ultimate 45-360gr conicals. Plus they shot sub MOA.

who has the best price on this conversion? i need 1 for my .45 elite.... It was $39.50. Im not sure how much they wil be when they are back in stock through Lehigh. Knight has a similar version now with a the vent liner permanently installed for $40 plus shipping. He is making them for Knight now.

As soon as they were available from Dave I ordered (2) of them, now I see them out of stock again, I believe Knight has them for around $40.00 each.

As soon as they were available from Dave I ordered (2) of them, now I see them out of stock again, I believe Knight has them for around $40.00 each. The real problem is that Lehigh is out of Vent Liners, as soon as Dave can run some and get them hardened then the las 200 breech plugs that he has will go on sale again. Those that have sent emails to get some will 'I think' get first dids on that 200...

How "Permanent" do y'all think this brazing will be on the Knight version?

How "Permanent" do y'all think this brazing will be on the Knight version? Last I talked to Dave they were being Vacuum Brazed in place and would require a very hot heat applied to be able to remove them. Possible so much heat that it would degrade the breech plug itself. Really, I am not sure that having the VL brazed in place is a huge deal. Because of the quality of metal and the hardening process the liner is going to last far longer than any other flash hole on the market. Wearing it out has not been done yet with BP or the subs.

I know, it's just that I want the option. It's not my fault Knight thinks some idiot with not put the vent liner back in or something.
I guess I'll order some from Dave tomorrow.

I have similar concerns but as stated, ive yet to hear about one that has been worn out with subs. If they are doing well in the SMLs then using subs they should last a long time with a good fitting primer and responsible maintenance.
My preference is a removable liner but lets see how they work out.

If you buy one and don't like it, i will buy it from you if its from Lehigh at his pricing.
That's how sure i am its a good product. The machine work is truly GRADE A.

I'm sure it will work fine gmb, It just irks me when something that is perfect as it is, has to be modified to make it "safer". I'm told that's not the real reason, who knows.
The vent liner might last forever, but if I want to change it out; I should be able to.

I think we all pretty much agree on that point. Its no different than changing vents in a Savage and maybe even less dangerous if you make a mistake. Ive fired one before without a liner. It didn't blowup but sure made a carbon residue mess in the action.

That looks like the old pic but yes. If the new ones look like regular Lehighs, the pic doesn't do them justice. The machine work and polishing is much nicer. Ive got both and there is no comparison.

how hard is it to put in the primer & take out the used primer with the lehigh?

how hard is it to put in the primer & take out the used primer with the lehigh? Drop the primer in the adapter (you will get better at this as you practice) close the bolt. Shoot the gun open the bolt - it extracts the primer - tip the gun to the side and the primer falls out.
