For those that bought Nitrex scopes and applied for rebates, watch your mail closely for your check. I just got mine and the check was in a very plain looking window envelope. It could have easily been mistaken for junk mail. I bet this was on purpose hoping it would just get pitched and never cashed.

That's encourging. I'm looking for that rebate check too. Glad to hear it is comming. I bought my scope in January and it was kind of iffy about the rebate. It was still supposed to be available. I don't fully trust the mail either. Every know and then I get some of the neighbors mail and I wonder who is getting mine. It don't help when you can't tell the good mail from the junk.

Received my rebate last November. Have a tr2, 2x10x42, and it is very clear. Put it on an 8mm/338 magnum and it has held up through sighting in and hunting season. Time will tell but I like it so far.

I haven't used one yet, myself, my son, and my friend all bought one. None of those are on a gun yet. Mine and my friends will go on smokeless 700ML's. I expect them to be as good as a Weaver Grand Slam that have very similar specs. They should be way better than what they cost right now.

Mine is mounted on a 223 and I just zeroed it in and that was it. Snow so deep around here the range is shut down. So I haven't really given it a fair try. It will probably end up on the Savage MLII. Walking through this snow is nearly impossible. Weaver/Nitrex sent me a neat lens cleaning device. Hope that wasn't my rebate

You had to check the box on the form if you wanted $ instead of a lens cleaner! Just kidding! I or my son didn't get a lens cleaner, maybe they sent you the wrong thing? When did you send the rebate?

I got the TR2 Nitrex 2-10X50 with the EBX Reticle. I bought it in January from Natchez and sent in the rebate right after it came. I checked with Nitrex before I bought it to make sure the rebate was still available. They said yes, so I ordered it. Normally the rebate was supposed to be over by December, 2010. Natchez was still advdrtising the rebate in the Jan-Mar flyer, so I'll just be patient and believe it will come. The scope looks good, I zeroed it in with no problem. Didn't have the best rest to do it with. The snow came early and deep here in MN. I wanted to do a lot of shooting with the MLII testing for a good cold weather load. The snow is about 1 1/2 to 2 ft on the level and drifts to 5 ft and more. Last year was the same way. I'm getting anxious for spring.

I purchased the same model, on recommendation from Rossman. Seems like a great choice, hopefully the rebate wont get deep sixxed!

I ordered a nitrex scope in november and sent the rebate shortly after that. I just recieved the rebate about 3 weeks ago. I emailed them before I recieved the rebate because in the fine print there was something to the effect if it is not filled out correctly no notice would be given and no rebate sent. I was given this number 1-866-269-5194 to the rebate center to check the status of my rebate.

They are sold out of the 2-10x42's. If anyone gets one and they decide they don't like it, give me a holler.
Thanks,
Rob

I called the number that number that Booner21 listed and found out that my name is on the list for a rebate. They said the rebate offer went over better than they expected and it may be another few weeks yet. So at least my name is on the list. Just so they don't run out of money. Federal is the parent company so I'm thinking it will come.

GOT IT!! Yippeee-kay-yay-yaaaahhh!!
Fishhawk is right on about the envelope. It's in a very plain window envelope and there's absolutely nothing in it but what we've been waiting for......the check. There's no name on the return addy, either....just the MN address.
Wow, now I've finally got that "I got a good deal" feeling. ;D ;D

I hope everyone is happy with them, a LOT of people bought them on my recommendation.
When I first looked at these scopes after they first came out I thought they were a bit over priced when compared to a 4200 Elite or a Sightron SII, maybe even a Clearidge. With the big drop in price from Natchez and with the rebate made them a real good buy on my index of most scope for the money. I should have kept my mouth shut or got a commission from Natchez/Weaver, they sold like hotcakes.
The plan I heard last fall was ATK/Federal was to keep Nitrex going with just a few models but from what I see now it is all Weaver. If anything does happen to your scope and you send it back to Onalaska do not let them base your replacement on what you paid for it. They may try to slip you a Grand Slam instead of a Super Slam for your TR2 and a 40/44 instead of a Grand Slam for your TR1.
