I don't have them in any special order but these have given me very good groups with the 45. H4198,Imr 4198,N120,H322. If you don't want as much recoil the 60 gr of H4198 and a 200 sst would be a winner. Lets say you want and average speed of around 2750.With H4198 you have to go with 64 grs,N120- 69 grs,H322 -73 grs.Useing a 200 gr bullet. I haven't tried 4759 yet but richard has had some pretty good groups with it. Want to play with the IMR 4198 some more when I get time.

When I got my .45 I started at 55 grains of H-4198 at 60 grains the group tightened up and then started to open back up at 61 and 62. My buddy Mike then shot the gun at 200 and got 5 shots in 1 inch. We estimated the velocity at 2600+ and no further load developement was wanted or needed. The Load: 200 grain Barnes Expander, CCI 209M primer, Harvester smooth blue sabot and 60 grains H-4198. I have taken several deer with this load out to 200 yards with no problems. This rifle is DaveDs first one that I purchased from him and has shot 3 inch groups at 300 yards when Dave had it. I put a 3.5x10 Leupold with B&C crosshairs on it in Leupold QR extended mounts and rings. It has become my primary deer hunting muzzleloader.

Rick's orginal load with the 290gr. Barnes TMX, is 53grs of H4198 {sabotless] its is an amazingly accurate load, with wool wonder wad. I have a box of 195 Barnes, that I plan to shot with sabots, how I will not change the zero, for the 290.
