When making up a block for the Buster Bullet: First 5 1/2 inches of plywood, next 6 inches of 2X4s then 14 inch block I get a kick out of showing fellow hunters what it can do. As a good friend I offer them a chance to try it. so far no takers, all my friends are smarter than me

the answer may be I'm brain dead

Got the bullets, no way I can resize 458 to 450.5, ruined two trying.
I was careless in ordering the sabot, I ended up with harvester green CR, made for .44 caliber bullets.
Will reorder black CR,

Sure hope you didn't use any Playboy's making that DON'T use then, that might make the bullets stop short just to look around edge.

Over all 24inches, the Buster will punch a bore size hole 21 to 22 inches deep, it will go thur an Elphant skull, think it might break both shoulders of a Brownie and keep on going. Hopefully I'll find out.

What is a "Buster bullet", I am confused, are you saying the standard 325FTX will punch through all of that with just a bore size hole, or are you doing something to the bullet?

Wilms, No wonder this round is a great Deer killer, it went thru 7 1/4 inches [excellent] made a very large hole, end weight 202.9grs. I used 71grs H4198, orange sabot the Harvesters wont be here till Tuesday, and a veggie wad.

Fork horn, The Buster Bullet is a 400 gr Barnes, that along with 71grs of Benchmark, will give you the twin to the 404 Jefferies, a very well respected Elephant Round, that is 2147 to 2167 FPS. I call it a big boomer, if you have a SAvage .50, you have an Elephant gun in your rack. I did post pictures of the penetration test I did with the Buster 21 1/2", Before that the greatest penetration, I got was the Barnes 350gr X bullet, also 70 gr of H4198. 9 1/4 inches Happy Booming, Marty

Have you shot a group @ 100yds with that load or the 350gr. load?

J1r11, With the 350 X bullet, I have shot a great many groups, 1 to 2 inches, with the Barnes buster1 1/2 to 2 1/2 not bug hole shooting, but since both these rounds will take any game animal [not Elephants with the 350], however there are less and less Elephants in So. Florida, so thats ok, With the Buster Bullet 2 inches will make little difference to any living thing. I'm sure a better Marksman will do better, there is no reason not to. I'm sure if I was 20 years younger, I could.....IF, IF, IF
