SO I got this take off factory barrel for my project. took my sabot bullet combo I use in my first gun and it loads way to easy. it is a HPH 12 sabot with .452 flex tip. any suggestions on a tighter fitting load?

Try using the Harvester Red Crushed Rib sabot....I believe that it will give you a tight enough fit. Many of the factory Savage barrels are loose as they say, mine was. When shooting a .451-.452 bullet the Harvester Red worked well. Zen

You could try a Harvester black crush rib sabot with a .458" Rem 300gr HP. They usually have a snug fit.

I have two ML ll and when using harvester easy load sabots and a .451 bullet one is real easy to load and the other one is fairly hard to load. On the easy one I can push the sabot/bullet into the barrel with my thumb and the other one is hard to get started even using a starter.

OR, you could knurl the bullet a little for a tighter fit? Richard
