Looking at putting together one of these... I guess I wouldn't mind trying a folding ramrod, but having one attached is so nice. Besides thimbles what else do I need to make this work? Apparently the 24" Bergara barrel is full contour and from what I understand, I should be able to use my 50 cal T/C muzzleloader forearm. Thanks in advance for any help on this. Take care guys! Jeff

You will need the TC ML forearm hanger or something simular, to let the ramrod pass thru.
Their ML forearm uses bigger screws then their regular rifle forearms, but I'm not sure what size of screw they attach the hanger to the barrel with.

Thanks Al. I am going to call T/C and see if I can buy these parts separate from them. Not sure if they sell that stuff or not. Regards, Jeff

I only have experience with one of these builds, but I can tell you this. The bergara 45 we used was on the loose side, so when temps got up much it would blow sabots and when they got low ignition problems occured. Normal knurling did not cure it. Each bullet needs paper patched to ensure ignition with ssts, barnes, and parkers. That being said it shoots real nice but it is a pain to paper patch.
Especially now with the Bullberry option, I would no longer consider this option.

Thanks for the info jeremylong. The more I look into this, I might as well get a hold of SMI and have Ron make up exactly what I want. The cost will be approx. the same and I'll know it'll be done right. Thanks again!
