bought the gillie green for 57.00 shipped, it is as new and I really like it. its a varmit contour so the new barrel should fit ok. going to use it for a switch stock or for another build. either way it was a very good deal...Bill

I have bdl bottom metal....will make a nice little storage compartment...Bill

Hillbill Will those SPS bdl stocks work with out the bottom metal. I realize it will leave a open hole ? Wayles

Wayles, yep they will work. The middle screw is sort of just hanging out there but there is enough material on the stock on the sides of the trigger guard area to hold the trigger guard, you just have to start the rear screw first. I've done it with a sps factory stock, I didn't care for the "feel" so I went with a boyds for now. I've got a bell and carlson that I bedded in that area. It works and feels very well, looks ok, if I painted it, the looks would improve a bunch but I sort of like the way it is
