there is a remington dbl.bbl. 45-70 on gunbroker#214577124. Any opinions on converting it to dbl.bbl. ml? Is there any issues on enough metal for drilling and taping for bp?

In many states, like Illinois, using a double barreled muzzle loader is strictly forbidden. You need to check the states where you would want to use it first.

45-70 isn't a muzzleloader, it's a cartridge rifle.

Eeks, no not a good candidate. Notice the sleeved barrel too. Neat idea though.

45-70 isn't a muzzleloader, it's a cartridge rifle. He is aware of that.A 45-70 barrel can be converted to a muzzy easy enough.

Indiana regs....
Muzzleloading firearms must be .44 caliber or larger, loaded with a single bullet of at least .357 caliber. Saboted bullets are allowed, provided the bullet is .357 caliber or larger. A muzzleloading firearm must be loaded from the muzzle. Multiple-barrel muzzleloading long guns are allowed.

jeremylong thanks for pointing out the sleeved chambers, with all of the 45-70 conversions going on I have been looking for the RIGHT one for me. Im from florida and as far as I know I can have a multi-barreled ml. I just came across the remington dbl bbl and thought I would share with the board a possible candidate. There are some nice rugers that I found also, but do I really want to alter an awesome gun ? Looks like the redi rifles are the way to go economicly and without regret . Thanks to all for looking and I will keep looking for an inexpensive conversion gun,I've got till next season anyway. GH
