I'm new here guys, so I apologize if this has been covered (would think it has), but I am not having any luck with the search feature. I'm wondering if many of you guys remove your sights. I prefer the look of a clean barrel, and don't see a point in keeping them since I use a scope. I've seen pics on various sites of 10 ML's with clean barrels, and am wondering if many owners remove them, and if so, how. I guess I'm more concerned with what guys do to fill the holes once they are off. I assume that procuring proper fitting screws to fill the sight holes is necessary.

I took mine off also. I just filled the holes with candle wax of a similar color.

If any of you aren't planning on putting your sights back on, I'd be interested in buying a set. (Actually, I only need the front sight). Need one with the fiber optic insert in it. Thanx

Jims, I thought I was the only person that cheated like that. I heat up the area around the hole and drip wax in there and fill it right up. If I ever need to take it out, I just heat it up and let it drip back out again. Works fine. I'm sure the correct screws would look a little nicer, but...
