Looks like you're having some fun!! How are you going to finish it? Zen I'am thinking about having it dipped in realtree apg, we can use muzzleloaders for turkey's small game and biggame in GA so it's going to get used, If not that I'll duracoat it tan and black

I take it that the barrel is a Pacnor, right? What contour, if I may ask, and what caliber?

That is sharp. did you have to do a lot of stock modding to get the #7 contour to fit it?

I spent about 2 hours with a 3/4,7/8 and a 15/16" socket and sandpaper getting the barrel channel opened up, It could have went faster but all my gaps are uniform and 3 one dollar bills slide all the way down to 2" in front of the recoil lug. I like everything timed and uniform on my builds and if you don't have time to do it right the first time, you definatly don't have time to do it again.

True, thats not terribly long. Did you use a heavy grit and work your way to fine? If so, what did you start with?

I like your plan of the black duracoat gun and the tan stock with black webbing. That will look sweet when its all done.

Killit, that is one handsome animal. I suggest you start the grill up right away. What stock is that? Did you pillar it? How did the barrel fit the channel?

HS-precision stock, it already came with the aluminum bedding block in the stock, I used Devcon Aluminum putty on this one, the barrel channel took about 2 hours of sanding, it could have gone quicker but all lines match up nicely, evenly gapped all the way out and floated the same.

awesome build I am taking notes, just one question it seems your scope is mounted a little higher than I would expect, is there clearance problems if you go any lower ? Thanks, Greenhorn

I know on my 700ML (just pieced it together), w/ a Farrell 20MOA picatinny base, TPS low rings and a Nitrex scope, the bolt just clears the scope objective and scope bell sits about a 1/4 to 3/8" off the line where the barrel would be if it had no contour. It worked out real good through dumb luck for me.
