A friend of mine told me to ask the question on the forum as where to buy small parts for our Savage ML10 II. I would like to have a new breach plug or two and he mentioned some special hardened vent liners. i have been getting my vent liners from Midsouthshooterssupply.com but they don't carry the breach plug. Thanks!

Thanks to both, I have sent a request to Randy, and I have already spoken to Savage and the only breech plugs are the new style which require a 3/8" socket to remove the plug. I was looking for the original, I don't want to carry a toolbox with me in the field to field strip the rifle if needed. They suggested a couple of vendors to check with which I have already done, neither of them support the rifle nor the accessories. So I'm still open for more help. Thanks for the quick responses.

You have to carry some kind of tool to change the breech plug whether it's the new style or the old style. I recently changed to the new style and went to Walmart and bought a cheap socket, ratchet, and swivle extension. It doesn't take up any more room in my gear bag than the old style breech plug tool took up. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

The only one your likely to find is the newer socket head plug. That's what Randy will have also.

Put a wanted to buy ad in the buy sell section. I know there are at least two used old style BPs owned by members willing to part with them.
