It looks as if Randy is only getting the blued ones so the stainless ones are still going to go for a good buck, but I agree with tar Randy probably has a list a mile long waiting for one of these guns.
Hold on to your stainless.

Though I have read several post's that indicate the blue guns have a tighter bore making them shoot a little better. It's got me thinking....

Thats really a good price, the last ones we bought thru our store, wholesale, cost us around $530. He must be getting quite a good deal direct from Savage.

Will he be the only one to have them. I did not see that in his add. (could have missed it).

Will he be the only one to have them. I did not see that in his add. (could have missed it). I wondered the same thing, you would think if he was getting "exclusive" rights to remaining guns, he would really be hyping that, but he never even mentions it. This makes me think there will be other places to sell "the last run" possibly even somebody else will have the stainless versions, that's why he put this out early, so he could get some pre-orders before someone else announces they will be selling them also. Just my own thoughts though, no proof.

Or, selling them cheaper! I seriously doubt he could sell a entire production run of 1000 or even 600 as quickly as the distribution channel already in place. Distributors will order rifles by the hundreds, I know Davidsons will order 10FPs in each caliber a hundred at a pop.

Didn't one of the newer guys post a few days ago that some shop in his area would be getting 100 10MLII's some time this spring?

If I didn't already have two excellent shooting ML2's, I would buy another one from RW. The price he is charging is going to be hard to beat.

I really can't think of a real life scenario that would induce me to buy a gun from RW, but that's just me. Looks like a good business move on his part though.

Dittos on the blue barrels being tighter bore for me anyway. My blue is .5025 and the stainless is .5038. For the money they will be asking I'd rather get an Encore frame and a SMI barrel for not much, if any, more $. I'd bet RW will be considerably more than an H&R or New Englander with customized SMI barrel. Jeez, buy a H&R in a "Buffalo Hunter" in the 45-70 and get a BP installed. Lotsa ways to go without having to pay the $ the speculators will want. Guess this is just my $.01 worth. 10

From RW's site,
2011 Savage 10ML-II Accutrigger, blued composite: $565 + 30 SHI in the lower 48. (Retail from 2010 was $680). Total is $595 delivered. Now with "PAD" recoil pad and new style socket-head breechplug.
Very good price and comes with an actual working recoil pad.

Its good to see savage heard people still want 10ml-IIs I have spoke to many people since I bought mine this fall (from Randy Wakeman by the way nobody else had one right after he anounced they werent producing anymore he was good to deal with in my experience)lots of people didnt know savage made a muzzleloader that shoots smokeless . I love mine and am very thankful to everyone on this site. I love shooting mine its a stainless with tupperware for now thumbhole later. I was hoping savage would listen I still think if they would advertise they would have plenty of sales. well thats my 2 cents

If Wakeman Is getting that price, what would Natchez get if they was to get a bunch of those rifles.

You guys have to remember that the 2010 10ML-IIs have the 4.40" action screw spacing and large shank barrels. Also if I'm not mistaken the thumbhole laminate stocks are slightly different from previous ones.

Thanks Cheese Before 2010 model, the action screw spacing on the 10ML-II was 4.25," or thereabouts. On 2010 (and now 2011) this distance has increased to 4.40". (Also 4.40" on the special run Cabela's BP only 10ML-II). So you can't swap stocks between an older model and the newer model, because the screw holes won't line up. But you can get some nice replacement stocks if you don't want a factory tupperware stock. Just go to stockysstocks.com and look for stocks that will fit savage 4.40" screw spacing and that have a blind magazine. If you don't want a replacement stock, the difference in screw spacing won't change anything about the gun.

It's not a direct swap but if your working with a wood stock it can be done by taking out the old pillar, redrilling the hole (whichever way you need to go) and epoxy a new pillar into place. rossman40 makes pillars that you can use to do this with.

Thanks for clarifying that. I was also wondering what that meant. I was going to convert my laminated SS MLII over to something of the thumbhole variety. But now Im thinking Ill save my money for one of those "final run" models!
