Anyone know the weight difference between the standard plastic stock and the factory laminated stock (non-thumb hole)?
Also, would the trigger guard and screws fit the laminated stock?

I had to order new screws when I bought a laminate stock because the screws for the tupperware stock are a little shorter than needed.
Paul.

I just had a couple of mine apart last week and compared the screws and they were the same but both had Savage stocks, one camo and one laminate.

I just bought a Savage laminate stock to replace the tupperware stock that came on the gun. The screws supplied with the laminate (sold with, not supplied with) are definately different. You need to buy a screw set when going from tupperware to laminate.

The screws on the left side with the heads down came out of a plastic stock 10ml-II the ones on the right with the heads up are out of the NIB 10ML-II with a laminate stock. I only report what I see.........Look the same to me.

Savage told me I needed a screw set and when I checked the new/laminate vs. old/tupperware they weren't the same. Can't explain it but when I tried the tupperware screws in the laminate the bolt dragged. Definately weren't the same. Different lengths.

Now in reply#4 above, Paul says that his were shorter and you say they caused the bolt to drag. I don't know but I do know what I have here.

It kinda looks that way in my picture, that may be what was catching in yours.

Rick In your first picture the body of two of the screws looked turned down after the threads.

In some of the pictures some of the threads look to be rolled threads and some turned. Thus the shank looks smaller.
