Now that we have the means to check pressures and Richard is willing..I would like to know what kinds of pressures are realized by using max. loads in regular ole BP guns.150 grn of Pyrodex,Triple seven and BH209. There has to be substantial pressure here as guys are getting 2500 fps out of these loads.I am more tham willing to booty up cash and supplies for this study.

Highend BH209 data would be very interesting. Especially with light vs heavy bullets. Yes it would! And I am betting the pressure is higher than we realize!

This I can tell ya already:
120gr T7 + 250gr SST in a 28" barreled Encore, even with the Simms butt pad and mercury recoil reducer, is BRUTAL!!

I'll tell you what guys.........I am not playing with BP or subs! My interest is solely in proving various smokeless powder loads, both single, duplex and triplex to be safe. You might find someone on the Black Powder boards to do that testing but not I! Sorry This stuff takes time and concentration when at the range. I want going to the range to be fun, not work. Richard
