Im new to the forum and I need help finding a new breech plug for my ml-II. I would prefer the hex type, I also need vent liners. I tried to find it on the savage site but couldn't locate it. Any links would be great.

Savage hex head plugs are not on backorder as I just got three of them 4 days after I ordered them.
They are very nice and each one you order comes with a new ventliner. Savage does not have the breech plugs on the sales site you have to call them to place the order.
Also you can tell them to add ventliners to your order or get some through RW or Lehigh.

FYI,
Savage Parts finder is up and running. I just created and account and was able to order a breech plug online no problems. Price was $29.00 plus $6.00 for shipping. This is a hex head breech plug.
Cheaper than Randy Wakeman's site and you can use a credit card and order online.
Hope this helps,

Chuck, It looks like you need a serial number to order a breech plug, using the parts finder. I need a B/P but I have no serial number to use.

I didn't know about the parts finder, Chuck. Thanks for the info. That beats hanging on the phone waiting for a rep. Billy

Try M010000 for a early non-Accutrigger or M018500 for a early Accutrigger.
I just pulled those out of the air. If the cops come knocking on the door because you gave Savage a SN for a stolen 10ML-II just show them this post.

You can use my old one which was an newer MLII - M033081.
Just click on the number of the part and add it to your cart it is fast, easy and the cheapest way to go at least for a B/P.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong I got into parts finder and they would not take any of my SN's. What am I doing wrong? All I want to order is a couple of b/p. Jon

My understanding they are the same except for the hex head. A better design most feel.
